Mobility-related trademark, design, and invention idea contest with the 2nd International Creative AI Drone Competition

In Jeju, a hub of future mobility and home to unique cultural assets, we aim to educate the importance of intellectual property through creative ideas from youth and the general public around the world and increase the value of future industries.

The true competitiveness of the mobility industry, the next-generation core growth engine, goes beyond technology and starts with ‘intellectual property’ that protects the idea and creates value. Accordingly, by implementing unique mobility ideas that incorporate Jeju’s culture and values into specific rights (trademarks, designs, inventions), we are announcing the holding of the “2025 International Creative AI Drone Competition and Mobility-related Trademark, Design, and Invention Idea Competition” as follows to provide an opportunity to directly experience the process of an innovative idea becoming a valuable asset.

<Purpose of Hosting>

• In Jeju, the future mobility hub, we encourage youth and university students to implement creative mobility ideas that incorporate Jeju’s culture and values into concrete intellectual property (IP), thereby strengthening their employment and entrepreneurship capabilities as key talents in future industries.
• Securing regional mobility intellectual property rights that combine Jeju's tangible and intangible resources and future vision, and establishing a leading model for IP creation with global competitiveness through cooperation with related organizations.

<Application qualifications>
1) Common qualifications

• Anyone interested in Jeju, future mobility, and intellectual property, including Korean citizens and foreigners residing in Korea or abroad
• You can participate as an individual or as a team (up to 2 people).

• Entries must be original, original ideas that have not previously won awards or been published in other competitions.
• f it is discovered that the ideas of others have been stolen or intellectual property rights have been infringed, the winner will be excluded from the judging process, and even after the award has been received, the award will be cancelled and the prize money will be fully refunded.
• Trademarks, designs, and invention ideas that have already been published or applied for/registered prior to the announcement date cannot be applied for.

    • UAM/drone mobility sector: Jeju tourism UAM (urban air traffic) aircraft and routes, regional specialty drone delivery system, AI-based autonomous flight and collision avoidance technology, etc.
    • Autonomous driving and personal mobility sectors: autonomous shuttles for tourist attractions, smart personal mobility for Jeju coastal roads, AI-based driver assistance and safety systems, etc.
    • Mobility platform and infrastructure sectors: Jeju-type integrated mobility service (MaaS), eco-friendly charging stations using renewable energy, traffic volume prediction and signal optimization systems, etc.
    • Other mobility fields: technologies to improve the convenience of transportation for the mobility-disadvantaged, lightweight materials or parts for innovative mobility, maritime mobility, etc.

• Submitted documents will not be returned, and applicants with incomplete documents will be excluded from evaluation.
• The results of the written review will be individually notified only to the selected works.
• If you are selected as a candidate for presentation evaluation based on the results of the document review, you must submit your presentation materials within the designated period. Failure to submit them may result in your exclusion from the presentation evaluation or cancellation of your future award.
• If any of the submitted works are found to be plagiarized works from other creative works, are winners of other contests, or infringe upon the portrait rights of others, or if legal disputes arise, the submitted works may be excluded from judging, the award may be cancelled, and any previously paid awards and prize money may be revoked, and future entries to this competition may be restricted.
